The Healthcare Diversity Summit aims to highlight the importance of diversity and inclusion efforts in the healthcare sphere. Healthcare organizations and professionals face particular issues and challenges that are specific to their industry. How can healthcare professionals champion diversity and inclusion initiatives, both internally and externally? By holding an event that promotes discussion and dialogue about industry-specific diversity and inclusion topics, the National Diversity Council hopes to encourage dialogue and best practice sharing amongst leaders in healthcare.

In order to remain competitive in today’s global economy, organizations must be innovative and creative when it comes to maintaining diversity within their workforce. They should also actively seek to mold leaders and encourage employee engagement throughout every level of their infrastructure, in order to ensure organizational objectives are not merely fulfilled, but exceeded. To achieve these goals, businesses must constantly strive for change and promote environments of inclusion, while also educating employees on the importance of these policies.
Our conference will afford organizations the opportunity to explore tools and resources necessary to build diverse workforces and remain competitive on the global stage.

Each of our local chapters holds a social mixer at least once a year. These mixers allow meeting attendees, chairs and volunteers to spend time with each other in a less formal environment. These mixers are also for individuals who would like to learn more about the Diversity Council and their local chapter representatives. We welcome all community members to attend!

Our chapter meetings are in person meetings where company representatives from various industries are encouraged to network and engage in knowledge sharing related to diversity and inclusion.
The focus of this annual event is to bring together a diverse mix of successful women leaders who, through the discussion of topics relevant to today’s issues will educate, inspire and encourage women to reflect on their own goals and status.
