Rachel Gervin joined Sage North America in August 2003 and she is currently Senior Vice President and General Counsel. Sage North America employs 2,000 people and supports more than 3 million small and midsized business customers. Formed in 1981, Sage’s parent company, Sage Group plc, was floated on the London Stock Exchange in 1989. Sage has more than 6 million customers and 13,600 employees worldwide. Sage’s North American legal department is comprised of 9 attorneys and 4 paralegals located in 5 locations around the US.
Ms. Gervin began her legal career in the Washington, DC office of Kirkland & Ellis where she had a broad practice including commercial litigation, regulatory/administrative law and international trade matters. She left Kirkland & Ellis to become one of the founding associates of the Northern Virginia office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where she focused on Securities Litigation. Just prior to joining Sage, she was a litigator with Crowell & Moring in Washington, DC.
Ms. Gervin is an active member of the Association of Corporate Counsel, Georgia Chapter where she currently serves as the President. She is the co-leader of Girl Scouts Daisy Troop 14532 in Decatur, GA, the PTA Treasurer for Oakhurst Elementary School. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from UCLA and a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Howard University School of Law.
