Jo Ann Herold brings over 25 years food marketing experience. Currently, she is a VP of Brand Communications and PR at Arby’ Restaurant Group. She also serves as the Vice Chairman for the Arby’s Foundation. Prior to Arby’s she spent 16 years at HoneyBaked Ham and was formerly the VP of Marketing and Chief Marketing Officer with them. Before that, she was head of marketing for the Jackson, MS Zoo and has owned her own marketing firm where she worked with the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau, Buckhead Branding, Intercontinental Hotels Group and The Borgata Casino and Spa, Boyd Gaming.

While working full-time at The HoneyBaked Ham Company, she received an MBA in International Business from Mercer University in Atlanta. She has an undergraduate degree in Communication from Mississippi State University. She is an Adjunct Professor at GA State University and Mercer University teaching Marketing 101, Marketing Promotions, Marketing Research and Marketing to the Executive MBAs.

During her career Jo Ann has been awarded two AMY Awards, a Mercury Award for radio advertising, a Phoenix Award from Shirley Franklin for community volunteerism, a Silver Effie for advertising effectiveness and was a finalist for the Catalog of the Year award by Catalog Age. Also her work was the winner of Chain Store Age’s Retail Store of the Year for HoneyBaked rebrand.

Jo Ann’s passions include volunteerism. She is a recent graduate of Leadership Atlanta. She has led the public relations efforts for the Arthritis Organization’s Crystal Ball, Opera Ball and for the Druid Hills Tour of Homes. She was recently recognized by the Georgia Restaurant Association for her distinguished service in the community. She is the Immediate Past President of the 1,000 member AMA Atlanta chapter and has raised over $100,000 for student scholarships. She is currently on the Board of the Atlanta Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Marketing Advisory Board, the Crime Stoppers Board of Directors and on the Corporate Leadership Council at Fernbank Museum.
