I am currently a Senior Director of Engineering at UPS’s Corporate Industrial Engineering (IE) Department, located in Atlanta, GA. I am responsible for IE People Development as well as the development of methods and work measurement for the organization. I also oversee the IE Reports & Analysis Group. I have been with UPS for over 30 years.
I have relocated four times with UPS. My career began in 1985 in Metro Detroit in various IE and operations positions. In 1994, I was assigned to a special assignment team, overseeing IE planning responsibilities for a key Business Development roll-out. In 1996, I relocated to the corporate office in Atlanta, GA as an IE Director, overseeing package operations planning responsibilities. In 1998, I relocated to Birmingham, AL and in 2000 I relocated to Milwaukee, WI. In both of these roles, I held the position of Director of Engineering, overseeing all Industrial Engineering and Technical Support Group responsibilities for these two geographies.
In 2003, I relocated back to Atlanta as a Senior Director of Engineering and led a special assignment team responsible for developing training and tools required to successfully implement a major operational technology initiative. In 2005, I became the Senior Director of Engineering for the UPS Call Centers.
In 2007, I assumed my current role.
I have a Bachelors of Science degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Michigan-Dearborn and an MBA from the University of Detroit-Mercy.
I have been married to my husband, Keith Joyner for over 22 years and we have two children, Austin (14) and Brooke (11).
