Lynne Zappone joined Popeyes® Louisiana Kitchen as Chief Talent and HR Officer in April 2011. In this role she is responsible for the development and implementation of Popeyes talent management/HR strategy and Servant Leadership culture initiatives. She is also leading guest and employee experience strategies alongside marketing and operations. Ms. Zappone has over 25 years of extensive experience in global human resources, talent development and learning, and business management.

Prior to joining Popeyes, Ms. Zappone served in a number of senior human resources positions with InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) from 1998 to 2011, including her last role as Senior Vice President, Global Learning and Americas Human Resources. During her tenure at IHG, Ms. Zappone was responsible for human resources business support and global talent development and learning strategies. She managed the design and implementation of a “self-funded” training business model which resulted in topline revenues of $12M and delivered operating profit for reinvestment within 2 years.

Before joining IHG, Ms. Zappone worked as a consultant with Phillips Associates and built organizational development, training and coaching capability while with Fidelity Federal Bank and Sheraton Universal Hotel.

She is currently co-chair for the Women’s Foodservice Forum HR Advisory Group and was actively involved with Women in Lodging.

Lynne sits on the board and is the chairperson for the Georgia Council for International Visitors and is also a member of the HR Leadership Forum, American Society Training & Development, and ATL Learning Leader’s Forum.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Flagler College and Masters of Arts in Organizational Leadership from the University of Phoenix.

Lynne has been featured extensively in media and print publications. Her expertise and valued insight have led to speaking engagements at regional and national HR and Training conferences as well as industry events. She was also featured in the CBS hit reality show Undercover Boss. Lynne was profiled in CLO Magazine and was selected as a Rising Star in HR by HR Executive Magazine. Her learning team while at IHG received the CLO Business Impact Award and the ASTD Excellence in Practice Award for their branded guest service programs, and under her leadership IHG was recognized as ASTD’s Best Company for Learning.
