Post-Event: Georgia Leadership Conference

On Friday, October 23rd, the Georgia Leadership Conference was held at Crown Plaza – Midtown Atlanta. Representatives of various companies from around the Atlanta area were in attendance to celebrate the Most Powerful & Influential Women and Multicultural Leaders, gaining new insights from the various breakout sessions offered.

The conference began with registration and breakfast where the Most Powerful Women were recognized for their stellar achievements. The keynote speaker, Maggie DeCan, President and Chief Operating Office of the Honey Baked Ham Company gave an amazing speech on her personal story, her company, and her leadership style. Following this, the guests went to 5 breakout sessions offered during Concurrent Session I and II.

As we moved to the second half of the event attendees were streaming in to the main ballroom for the luncheon to recognize the Multicultural Leaders for their amazing achievements in the diversity and inclusion field. The keynote speaker, Phyllis Finley, Vice President of Diversity & Inclusion at Randstad NA, gave a great presentation on generational diversity and the changes to come in the near future. Following this, the guests went to the 2 breakout sessions offered during Concurrent Session III. Afterwards, they rejoined for closing remarks, Popeyes raffle giveaways and recognitions of our phenomenal emcee, Tacita A. Mikel Scott.

We would also like to thank our corporate partners: AIG, Capgemini, Comcast, Lockheed Martin, Marta, McKenna, Long & Aldridge, Popeyes, SunTrust, The Home Depot and Wong Fleming.
